Some basic information about Dmitry Zheltobriukhov

I was born in Ukraine in 1980, but started roaming the world in 1994 and didn't stop until today. My current location is Älmhult, Sweden, but I can't guarantee that it'll stay this way forever.

I find it hard to define my profession clearly. I studied both programming and arts for short periods of time and gained a lot of experience in creating original game concepts.

Since 2004 until today I was mostly working as a lone wolf game developer and web designer. I did everything: Design, graphics, programming, stories, and even music in one of the cases. A couple of years before making my first game I started using Flash as a 2D animation tool. Then one day I realized that it allowed me to combine my animation hobby with my programming skills. Thus The Waitress was born. It became an instant hit and allowed me to consider dedicating myself to game development, which is what I do most of the time now.

Most of the games I made either have completely original concept and game mechanics or at least there's an important twist that makes them different from the rest. Some of these experiments completely failed, others enjoyed some relative success. I could probably earn much more money making clones of other people's successful games, but after all, I'm not in it for the money.
